Tuesday 1st October: Burton Mail Heroes Awards
Burton and Bretby Rotary Clubs jointly sponsored the Burton Mail 'Hero of Heroes' award for the person chosen by the judges from among the winners of all categories as truly inspirational, a person who has made a real difference to the community. The award went to Aisa Ali, who once slept rough on the streets and twice attempted suicide. She has now turned her life around and works as an ambassador for The Prince’s Trust, helping others to overcome their hard times too.
