The sun shone on the Kiddies’ Games - Wellie Wanging, Haggis Hurling, Caber Tossing and the Speedy Stones (a mini version of the Ardblair Stones). All afternoon youngsters queued to compete, with the three year olds as competitive as their older siblings. Everyone who entered got a prize, and there were more prizes for the winners in the three age categories in each game.

And after the youngsters, a couple of Rotarians decided to have a caber tossing competition themselves. Bob Ellis won, and Loser Ian Fraser went home and designed a trophy, The (caber) Tossers Trophy, which was presented to Bob by President Grant Findlay at the club meeting on September 11th.
