Youth Speaks 2019-20

The Rotary Youth Speaks Competition was held at Stonecross Manor Hotel on 25th November with local school teams taking part.


The Rotary Youth Speaks Competition was held at Stonecross Manor Hotel on 25th November with local school teams taking part. They were invited to talk on a subject of their choice and their team of three had ten minutes to give their presentation.

The winners came from Kirkbie Kendal School and their chosen subject was “Whose Life is it Anyway? Euthanasia in the Modern Age and Why the Law needs to Change.” 

The team of Hannah Stoddard, Nicole Berry and Jessica Hartley not only won the team prize but also all three won the best individual prizes for Best Chair, Best Speaker and Best Vote of Thanks Proposer.
