Rotary wrap artists and shoppers raise £355 for Dunfermline charities

Christmas-spirited shoppers helped Dunfermline Rotarians wrap up a grand total of £355 for local charities in the Kingsgate centre over the weekend. (14 & 15 Dec)

Members of Carnegie Dunfermline Rotary Club set up stall there to wrap Christmas presents in return for donations to charities which help disadvantaged and vulnerable families and young people in the Dunfermline area. The Salvation Army and SEAL Dunfermline are among the organisations which will benefit.

An everyone-wins-a-prize tombola helped to keep the generosity coming, as did spontaneous donations from big-hearted shoppers who did not need any gifts wrapped.

Club President Libby Seath said,

“We’re delighted that so many local folk wanted to help their less fortunate neighbours in this way, and we know that the charities which will benefit from their kindness will use their donations wisely.

“We also want to thank once again the town-centre businesses which supported us with donations of materials: their generous support made a real difference.”
