District 10 Pin Bowling Competition

Off to Morecambe to play Carnforth in the District Sports. Click to find out how we fared!

The District Tenpin Bowling Competition pitted us against last year's finalists, Carnforth, and you could see why they had reached those dizzy heights, as three of the team of five racked up scores of over 100 in the first game, their top score being 126, leaving us trailing by 30 points at the break.

The second game was very similar, so overall we lost by 62 points.

A bit of friendly banter and fellowship between ourselves and Carnforth followed, with us wishing them well in the next round. We said our farewells and headed off for the highlight of the evening, a meal at the nearby Chinese.

So, it’s all to do again next year, but perhaps when the nights get a bit lighter, we can try to get a bit of practice – and another Chinese of course!
