Community

The activities of the Community and /vocational Committee include:

Harvest Lunch   Every year we invite about 100 elderly people who have little opportunity to go out to a Harvest Lunch, where they receive a roast dinner and are entertained by our resident vocalist Peter Waddison.

Swimarathon  Our main fundraising event is the Swimarathon which was first held in 2019.  Teams of 6 swimmers swim lengths of the St James pool in King's Lynn for an hour raising money through sponsorship for local charities.  In both 2019 and 2020 we raised £12,500.

Easter Egg Trail  Another major annual event is the Easter Egg Trail, held at Sandringham on Easter Saturday.  Familes follow a trail of clues through the woods and receive an Easter egg at the end.  The event is run in conjunction with East Anglia Air Ambulance.

Grand East Anglia Run The club provides funds for this annual local event in which over 2000 runners take part.

Charitable donations Contributions are made to local charities on a regular basis.
