Vernon's Lockdown Project

Rotarian Vernon works in Wood for Dom's Food Mission.

Since the lockdown he has been very busy making (with Kathy’s help on design and some painting) more things from reclaimed and recycled wood. There have been plenty of people walking past and seeing things on his front drive. Several Rotarians have made special requests including a walking cat and friend Laura  wanted a crouching cat. Kathy designed both of them and the crouching cat proved to be a popular addition to his repertoire as he has since made another four.

In addition to the usual planters, bird boxes and bug boxes he has also made specials for other friends including table refurbishment and gin bar signs! Some small items seen on Facebook have been ordered and posted to recipients around the country.

Apart from keeping him occupied, the amount raised for charity including Dom’s Food Mission https://www.domsfoodmission.com since the lockdown is £3,700. Although he hasn't  been out he still has a stock of timber but any suplus decking or planed timber would be welcome.

 NO MORE PALLETS PLEASE.
