Members of Rotary Aberdeen Deeside (RAD) have been supporting Instant Neighbour for a number of years.
In the main this has been providing donations for their foodbank operations in Aberdeen.
They are currently locked down and struggling to provide the various services that they offer to the less fortunate folk of Aberdeen.
In
that context RAD, who as a club are also locked down, held another on-line
quiz with proceeds this time going to Instant Neighbour.
It was a fun quiz only, with no prizes at stake, save the
satisfaction of helping a very good cause and passing a pleasant and
perhaps slightly challenging hour or so to relieve lockdown fever.. The
quiz was held on Zoom and the sign up / joining details were sent to
anyone making a donation of a minimum of £5.00 to RCAD which will be passed on to Instant Neighbour.
For a donation, an answer sheet was e mailed to parcipipants. Zoom
joining details were e mailed closer to the evening. Currently RAD
Zoom capacity is 100 participants. Sign up closed before the
quiz for this capacity to be increased if it became necessary.
In accordance with lockdown restrictions, one participant sign-up
also covered a team from the same household, as well as just one
individual. Those who had not used Zoom before, were advised to have
Zoom downloaded on their device from the App Store (if using a tablet
or smart phone) or downloaded on their web browser (if using a laptop
or computer) and to familiarise themselves with it.
