In preparation for the easing of lockdown, Kinver Rotary Club have sourced and donated face visors to traders, public houses, restaurants and other businesses coming into contact with the general public.
Rtn Chris Elcock, who spearheaded the initiative, says: “Although many had made their preparations for the beginning of the return to normal, we felt that these approved visors would be useful as the need for p.p.e. among many sectors increases. We have been delighted with the response we have received in these difficult times.”
Following extensive enquiries, the club initially purchased 100 visors for delivery to businesses in Kinver, Enville, Wollaston, KIngswinford and Wall Heath – areas from where the club raises the majority of its charity funds – but demand was so high a further 100 were obtained.
A further 1,000 visors have been donated for Kinver businesses. These have been distributed to various businesses including Pubs, Care Homes and Garden centres by a local Councillor and two Kinver Rotarians.
