Lakes Lines Rail Users Group

The speaker at the Zoom meeting on 12th October was one of our own members, Robert Talbot, who gave the club an update on the ‘Lakes Lines Rail Users Group’.

He detailed the current situation with respect to the various franchise companies involved and the state of the rolling stock and proposed new trains, the possible electrification of various parts of the local rail system and his thoughts on the future and whether HS2 would have an impact on this part of the country.
