Remembrance Day 2020
Our President Mike Haythorpe laid a wreath on behalf of the club at Watton War Memorial
Due to the current lockdown resulting from Coronaviris, the normal Remembrance Sunday service at the War memorial was necessarily a much quieter affair, as neither the majority of organisations and individuals laying wreaths nor the general public were permitted to attend on the Sunday. Instead, our club opted for a quiet and dignified ceremony on the morning of 11th November.
Our President Mike Haythorpe, flanked by a socially distanced Paul Weatherill, Pam Baktis and Pat Murphy laid a wreath at the war memorial on behalf of the club. Other club members were present, but could only look on from a distance. It was nevertheless a moving moment and we were glad to be able to pay our respects to the fallen.
