Our Weekly Meetings/ The history of Bomber Command in WW2
Jeremy Prescott spoke to our meeting about Bomber Command.

The speaker at the Zoom meeting on 23rd November was Jeremy Prescott who gave a presentation detailing the history of Bomber Command during WW2.
Run by ‘Bomber Harris’, it was instrumental in us gaining victory over Germany and he gave us a rundown on how this was achieved.
He highlighted the importance of the Lancaster Bomber and how it enabled the raid on the Ruhr dams to successfully take place and how it was the only plane capable of carrying a four ton bomb (The Tall Boy).
