£1000 donation

Who are these youngsters, what were they up to and when and where were they doing it? They are just a few of the more than 200 members of Byre Youth and Community Arts; engaged in an exercise designed by their Artistic Director, Ashley Foster; before the pandemic, as is clear from the photo; and in a rented hall. Although live classes could have resumed in September, lack of available space meant they still had to meet online until Ashley was able to take out a lease on premises in Largo Road, which will be their new home once Covid restrictions end. Acquiring the space and equipping it from scratch called for a fund-raising drive, which the Rotary Club of St Andrews is delighted to support with a grant of £1000.
