We Deliver and Donate

Preston Rotary Club helps the local Community

Whilst the Rotary members cannot meet, other than by Zoom, they have still been active in the local community.

The main focus has been contributing to the local support organisations such as Thrive, CentrePeace and Paignton Community Larder. This was particularly needed at the beginning of the pandemic.

Also funds have been provided to Louisa Cary Ward for their Christmas entertainment.

Instead of sending each other Xmas cards the Rotary members contributed £665 to Paignton Salvation Army for toys and hampers.

At half- term a group of Young Carers were taken to " Battlefield" at Churston for activities, as they are one of the main causes that is supported..

In December members delivered food hampers to 4 local schools for CentrePeace , and helped Paignton Community Larder deliver Christmas boxes to families.

President Roger Tisdall said "Although we have been unable to raise funds as usual we have been able to use our reserves and Preston Rotary members have made extra donations to help the local community".

Rotarian Keith Wilby is with Anita Davies of Paignton Community Larder with some of the food deliveries.
