Participants in the event agree to act responsibly and adhere to the rules of the road and countryside. It is their responsibility to ensure that any manoeuvre is carried out safely. They maintain that they are fit and healthy enough to take part in the activity and that their cycle is in a safe, legal and roadworthy condition.
Riders are advised to ensure they have adequate insurance. This could be obtained from Cycling UK here.
The Rotary Club of Nailsea & Backwell cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, accident, loss, damage or public liability during the event.
Participants should provide details of an emergency contact (name, relationship and phone no.) when registering.
Participants will be provided with maps and instructions as well as a route and guidance telephone number and a separate emergency telephone number to call in case of difficulties. These should be studied and followed. Each of the routes will have been tested by a number of volunteers in advance of the day.
Rotary Nailsea and Backwell act as facilitators. We organise the whole event, providing advance publicity, registration forms (online or offline), pro forma downloadable sponsorship forms (if required), the opportunity to set-up online individual sponsorship forms, maps and route instructions to guide the participants. Everyone who completes a Bike Ride will receive a certificate of achievement.
