Free Trees for Schools and Communities Planting March 2021

We planted around 100 trees along with the Friends of Longford Park and the Coventry Park Rangers.

We work alongside the Coventry Park Rangers and Friends of Longford Park with this community project.

In February 2020, we made an applicaton for Free Trees for Schools and Community Project from the Woodland Trust. We received last October around 100 trees which were very kindly looked after by the Coventry Park Rangers as at the time all volunteer / community events were suspended due to COVID 19.

We had hoped to involve one of our local primary schools to help us in this community event but due to pandemic, we could not involve the children this time.

This is our second time of planting tree's from the Woodland Trust in Longford Park, Coventry. It was a lovely morning as the weather held up for us after an earlier down pour, by planting these tree's we were helping the UK to reach its 2050 carbon net-zero target.

This is our first opportunity to be back out in the community, to meet up in person after a year of meeting via zoom and we would like to Thank the Coventry Park Rangers and Friends of Longford Park for their assistance.
