Club Handover 2021

On Wednesday evening members of Chelwood Bridge Rotsry met in the gardens of Farrington Park Golf club to witness the handover of the leadership of the club from Tony Quinn to John Palmer. Tony began the evening with several thank you’s to individual members and all members generally. The outgoing President traditionally makes his awards to outstanding members.

This year they are:

Presidents Cup for overall commitment to club aims was won by Rob Taylor

Fellowship Cup was awarded to Jphn Palmer for the outstanding programme which kept members entertained and engaged throughout the year.

Visitors Club to Mike Hedges for the significant number of Zoom calls he had taken part in.

Tony was also extremely pleased to present a Paul Harris Fellowship to Spike Parker for his contributions in the background over the year and also for the outstanding commitment he has given to Wizzybug, the Bath based charity.  Colin Robinson was awarded a second Paul Harris Fellowship for the huge amount of work he has put into developing our outstanding website and social media presence. Tony Quinn

It was a great privilege to share in an informal gathering with club members in the Farrington Golf Club garden. Tony Quinn handled the meeting with ease and the handover of presidency was well received. We look forward to a new Rotary year with many changes and challenges ahead and our social events are already planned ! We have a great, talented membership and we are committed to "Serve to change lives" and to recruit some new members.   John Palmer President.
