We have a new President

.

The outgoing President of Rotary Elgin has handed over the reins to her successor. Ian Brodie officially takes over the role on July 1st from Lorna Williamson whose strong leadership and compassion has led the club though what has arguably been its most difficult and challenging year. Lorna described the past year as “a journey of discovery during which there were many challenges but also opportunities. This Presidential year has demonstrated how flexible and adaptable Rotary can be”.

The incoming President Ian Brodie is proud to have served in Scottish Education for 32 years in various schools across Scotland as a class teacher and retired from the Head Teacher’s post at Kinloss Primary School in 2006.

President Ian said “Three years ago, as a member of Rotary Elgin, I was honoured to be asked to consider becoming President of this prestigious club.

I would like to express my gratitude to all the members who have supported me during the last three years and I now look forward to being your President.

I will endeavour to do Elgin club proud supported by very committed members who give up so much of their time with their Service Above Self”
