5000 Knitted Poppies at Otterbourne Hill Care Home

.

"When Vilma, Rotarian and Community Hub Manager at Otterbourne Hill Care Home, asked for people to knit 1000 poppies for a cascade, little did she know what she'd started. A deluge of over 5000 poppies of all shapes and sizes were soon arriving, in bags and boxes, at the home. The project definitely captured the imagination and resulted in the emotive installation pictured here, with Vilma and Val, community volunteer and fellow Rotarian. A big 'thank you' to all who contributed."
