The Rotary Foundation

Rotary Foundation of the United Kingdom (RFUK), a charity - No. 1002059 – and limited company – No. 2582374 – registered in England, is an Associate Foundation of The Rotary Foundation (TRF) of Rotary International Evanston, USA.

RFUK provides Rotarians and friends of the Foundation in Great Britain and Ireland with a variety of local services to donate and by doing so, increasing funding available by TRF for its aims on:

  • Peacebuilding and conflict prevention
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Maternal and child health
  • Basic education and literacy
  • Community economic development
  • Supporting the environment

Hexham Rotary supports the Rotary Foundation each year, not only by member's contributions but also by selling Christmas Cards for the General Fund and Crocuses to support End Polio

Rotarians in the drive to eradicate polio

more As part of this campaign the Rotary Club of Hexham have arranged for the planting of 5000 crocus bulbs in a three metre wide circle close to the bandstand in Hexham.

Atiak Uganda Hospital Global Grant

more The objective of this Global Grant is to bring state-of-the-art health care to the residents of Northern Uganda by providing medical and dental equipment for a new hospital in Atiak, Uganda.

Helping to eradicate Polio

more The income generated from the recent Tynedale Tall Tales competition organised by the Hexham Rotary Club resulted in a fantastic £3,204 being sent to help eradicate the scourge of Polio.
