Refurbishment of St Barnabas School Peace Garden

Rebuilding the Peace Garden in the grounds of St Barnabas School

The old Peace Garden in the grounds of St Barnabas School had become completely dilapidated.

Using materials paid for by the Education Trust Fund we cleared out the old garden and built a new frame from treated timber and the cross from lawn edging. We then sieved the soil to remove any weed roots before mixing it with compost and filling the cross.  We then added a layer of composted bark to the garden.

The RotaKids then planted the garden with crocus corms and the mulch was topped up with decorative bark chip.
