Poster Competition

Two pupils from Marazion School, Daisy Hudson and Penny Firth, took up the challenge to enter the Rotary COP26 poster competition and they both painted hard hitting climate change posters.

What a great school Marazion is!

Last year, they decided to enter the Rotary COP26 poster competition. Two pupils, Daisy Hudson and Penny Firth, took up the challenge and they both painted hard hitting climate change posters.

We sent them off on their behalf and lo and behold, their posters were shortlisted in the top 25 out of… 4,000 entries from all over the UK and Ireland. What a fantastic effort! All top 25 posters were exhibited at various venues in Glasgow, so the thousands of delegates to COP26 had the opportunity to see them and understand the climate change message that young people were sending to them.

We were delighted to hand over certificates of appreciation to Jenny Rainbow (head teacher of Marazion School) and most importantly to Penny and Daisy. Also in the photo is our president for 2021-22, David Mayo.
