The Sixth Rotary Young Musician competition, at Bishop’s Stortford College, on 23rd April 2022. Three adjudicators were Jill Morton, Brenda Dykes and Siobhan Lihoreau (with the additional help, when needed, of the two official accompanists – Simon Gilliver and Michael Smith)
15 winners competed in the evening for the overall awards. The Young Musician of the Year award went to Charmon Lam on cello and The Young Vocalist of the Year award went to Valeria Sameli. These two will go forward to the District 1240 Final in spring 2023, with the potential to progress to the Regional and National Finals.
