Stroke Support group Presentation
At today's meeting of Eastleigh Rotary, we were interested to hear a talk given by one of our members,Pauline Morocco, who runs the Chandlers Ford Stroke Support Group. Pauline has volunteered at the group for several years and described the wonderful work they do to support stroke survivors and their carers. Volunteers, including some who have themselves suffered strokes, provide a welcome respite with good company, fun activities, quizzes and craft work, as well as Tai Chi and Yoga at their fortnightly meetings. Plus there's always tea & biscuits or sometimes cake to enjoy.
Having listened to the great work that is happening there, Eastleigh Rotary were pleased to present Pauline with a cheque for £500 which will help towards the group's expenses and to provide much needed speech & language therapy.
