Decisions and Salient points from the Rotary Business Meeting 25/10/22 


Present... Stuart Ainscough, Barry Curran, Brian Woodward, John Shaw, Mike Eaves, Les Greenall, John Murray, Ian Parr, Alan Robinson, Phil Round, John Morse, Steve Owen, John Kilshaw, Ray Bointon, Ray Edwardson, Les Clancy, Geoffrey Shaw, Tony Chandler, Derek Hirst, Bob Thompson,

1. A discussion about food bank and poverty support was held. The meeting supported Phil Round and Stuart Ainscough liaising with members  of the Trussell Trust and The Hope Centre St Helens regarding local food bank/poverty support.

 

2.It was proposed by lan Parr that a donation be made to the Viaduct club (our new beer festival venue for refurbishment costs. This was supported by all 20 of the rotarians present at the meeting. 


3. Mike Eaves asked if the club was going to make up the full cost for the new boiler at the Newton Boys and Girls club. This was proposed by lan Parr and supported by all 20 Rotarians present.

 
4. Ray Edwardson would like to collect all the shoe boxes on 29th November.

5.The next business meeting will be on the 22nd November at Jaydees in Haydock. Those attending appeared to enjoy the new venue and buffet.
