Tess McGrath, Community Fundraising and Engagement Officer – Liverpool City Region and Cheshire gave a talk to club members.
Sadly, if you live in the North West, you are 25% more likely to be diagnosed with cancer than anywhere else in the UK and that’s why North West Cancer Research is dedicated to putting our regions cancer needs first by funding pioneering research that tackles the cause, improves the care and finds the cure for the cancers which have the greatest impact in our region.
Over the years the charity has made incredible progress and transformed the lives of more and more people, who are now surviving cancer long-term. However, there is still a great deal of work to be done. Support is invaluable in allowing the organisations to continue this vital work as it strives for a cancer-free future for our region.
There are plenty of events happening over the course of 2023, which the club could get involved with. Details are on the website if you’d like to know more about these- www.nwcr.org.
