The Resilience Team

Carnforth members took part in the Resilience Exercise

Five Rotarians from Carnforth travelled to Lytham to take part in Resilience Exercise Goshawk. They were involved as stewards and befrienders at the hastily arranged Family and Friends Centre. A very useful exercise for everyone to see how rotary involvement can be very useful to the statutory services.

The scenario was a serious car accident in Blackpool and terrorist shootings from the adjacent Blackpool Tower. There were several fatal casualties. The Family &Friends Centre needed to be placed at a safe distance from the incident.

Carnforth Rotary was the only club from our District to take advantage of this training opportunity.
