Ukraine Crisis Appeal

Barn Dance

A good time was had by all at our St George's Day barn dance raising money for Ukraine last Saturday.  

The music was provided by Whirling Skirmish, who began with a lovely Ukrainian folk tune before getting on to the serious business of playing for the dances. The caller, Philip Barber (dressed as a crusader or, maybe St George himself), was an excellent (and patient) master of ceremonies. 

Over £850 was raised in aid of charities supporting Ukraine. This, with the £727 collected the Saturday before at Tescos, means Beckenham Rotary has raised over £1,500 recently for Ukraine.
