Shoppers come up trumps

Barrow homeless people benefit from shoppers' generosity

Homeless people in Barrow had a better Christmas due to the generosity of customers of the town's Tesco Extra store.

Club President Fred (r) handed over a cheque for £1000 to manager Pat from the Homeless Shelter in the town's Bath Street.

Presents and a selection of food items were also donated by generous shoppers.

Club members collected the money and the goods at the town centre store.

Also pictured are club Secretary Graham (l) and Community Service Lead Peter, who thanked Tesco for the 'use' of their store.
