2023 - Bexley Young Musician

Presented by The Rotary Clubs of Bexley, Erith and Sidcup


Candidate selection

Candidates are selected in accordance with the conditions of entry below, and the final awards ceremony provides an opportunity for the young musicians short listed to give solo performances under concert conditions. A panel of expert judges from the world of music adjudicate at the concert and gives its verdict, as well as advice and encouragement, at the end of the evening


Conditions for entry

Entry is limited to musicians or singers resident in, or in full-time education in the London Borough of Bexley, and aged under 19 years of age on the 1st September 2023. The Bexley Young Musician of the Year Awards will provide an opportunity for eight young musicians to give solo performances under concert conditions before an audience at Rose Bruford College, Lamorbey Park, Burnt Oak Lane, Sidcup, Kent 

DA15 9DF


Entries must be in by 5 December 2023.


The event will be held on Saturday 4 March 2023 commencing at 7.00pm


Each performer will receive a finalist’s certificate plus an award of £100. In addition the musician or singer judged to have given the best overall performance will be awarded The Bexley Young Musician of the Year Cup to be held for two years, plus a replica cup which the winner will retain.
