Watton Rotary Club members have again provided assistance at the recent Crucial Crew week at City College Norwich.
Crucial Crew is run by Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service with professional partners, to provide safety guidance in 15 minute workshops to Primary School 10-11 year old leavers, who are about to go to Secondary Schools in September.
Crucial Crew events have 4 broad aims:
To encourage responsible / reflective action in children.
Sensitise children to emergency and / or dangerous situations
Develop social awareness and care for the school environment and others.
Members of the Rotary Club were happy to help in ensuring groups of children moved safely around the site as they attended demonstrations from the partners, who included Norfolk Fire & Rescue, East Anglia Air Ambulance, Norfolk Police HM Coastguard and Norfolk NHS.
