The Rotary Foundation

The Rotary Foundation is at the forefront of humanitarian service throughout the world

The Rotary Foundation (TRF) supports Rotarians in achieving sustainable projects for communities locally and around the world in any of our seven Areas of Focus which aim to meet the world’s most critical humanitarian needs.  Areas of Focus are:

  • Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention
  • Disease Prevention and Treatment
  • Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Basic Education and Literacy
  • Community Economic Development
  • Sustaining the Environment

Rotary Foundation Grants
Every year TRF gives hundreds of millions of pounds in grants to Rotary clubs for humanitarian projects in one or more of the areas of focus.  In times of crisis grants are made from the Disaster Response Fund to alleviate urgent needs from natural disasters such as earthquake, floods and drought as well as humanitarian help to people displaced by war.

Rotary's Main Initiative for over 35 years has been the campaign for the eradication of polio which we continue to support. Click on "End Polio Now", under What We Do above, for more detail.

Rotary Peace Centres and Scholarships are partly funded by TRF as well.

The Rotary Foundation is funded by Rotary members, friends and fundraising events.  Donations are always welcome.
