BUSINESS MEETING

The following 21 members attended the business meeting.


Stuart Ainscough, Ray Bointon, Les Clancy, Viv Clancy, Ray Edwardson, Geoff Fisher, John Graves, Les Greenall, Ian Parr, Alan Pomfret, Phil Round, John Shaw, Claire Chapman, Brian Woodward, Len Rainford, Harry Stevens, Alan Robinson, Derek Hirst, John Murray, John Kilshaw, Steve Owen.


The following requests for funding was made:



1. Hope Academy are sponsoring 5 students, who will be helpers on a trip to Lourdes.The cost is £700 per student. Les Clancy proposed we make a donation towards this. This was seconded by John Kilshaw. 

The proposal was carried: 18 for, 2 against and 1 abstention.


2.  A donation  for the speaker from Global Sight Solutions, Gwyneth Millard on 20 Feb was proposed by Alan Pomfret and seconded by Geoff Fisher.

The proposal was carried unanimously.


3. Alan Pomfret reported that in March there is a "Walk for Water" organised by Water Aid.  Alan proposes to walk155km during March and would like the club to sponsor him. Proposed by Alan himself and seconded by Ray Bointon.

The proposal was carried unanimously..


4. Earlestown Cricket Club has a Rotary banner which we sponsor and Ian Parr would like  us to sponsor this for another 2 years and possibly( the club may wish to support new netting in the future.

Proposed by Ian Parr and seconded by Phil Round.

The proposal was carried unanimously..
