Social activity

We have an active social programme to complement our service activity


We have a good social programme of activities to complement our service projects.

At least one meeting a month will have a speaker, normally external , and recent topics have covered The Gunpowder Plot, the Development of Concorde and a presentation (with tasting) by a local Gin producer.

We have regular skittles and boules matches against other local Rotary clubs.

Visits and outings are also arranged. Recently a large group visited The Houses of Parliament and were hosted for part of that day by our MP, Liam Fox. The next outing will be taking luch at the Weston College Careing department restaurant.

The 2024 Charity Golf Day will be held on Thursday 11th July and again this year we will be supporting Prostate Cancer UK. We are looking for teams of 4 golfers to come and enjoy a round on the Brinsea Championship Course at Mendip Spring Golf Club.

July 2021 bookstall

4 Sales of pre-used paperback books and jigsaws in 2023 were in March, June, July and October. A further 4 sales are planned for 2024, dates to be announced. Handbag stalls are now being organised by Nailsea Leg Club.
