On 12th August, after our lunch, we went to Kendal Parish Church for a guided tour to learn about the history of the building. The tour was led by two volunteers from the church, Sue Ratajski and Norman Holloway, who gave a potted history of the many aspects of the church. It is one of the oldest buildings in Kendal, is Grade I listed and one of the widest parish churches in the country. Many of the famous families in Kendal’s history are featured with names like Parr family, the Bellingham family and the Bindloss family.
