The area covered by this district

District 1210 is located in the North West Midlands on England between Birmingham in the South, Cheshire in the North, Derbyshire in the East and Wales to the West. It is predominently a rural area with rolling hills and farmland but also includes part of the large West Midlands conurbation in the South and the Potteries in the North. Places of interest include; The Wrekin and the Staffordshire Moorlands and there is plenty of industrial revolution history including the historic living museums at Blists Hill in Shropshire and The Black Country Museum near Dudley and the world famous Iron Bridge across the River Severn at Ironbridge in Shropshire. There are a number of castles including Ludlow and Stokesey and many of the small market towns date back to The Middle Ages. At Cosford near Wolverhampton is the Royal Airforce Museum and Alton Towers Theme Park and Trentham Gardens are located to the South of Stoke on Trent.
