Inspiring young people to take action for the planet
Rotary Young Environmentalist is back with a fresh approach and with the same theme of all the other non face-to-face competitions of “Happiness in Nature”.
Are you passionate about the environment? Do you want to make a difference through practical action or innovative ideas? If you care about the world around you, the Rotary Young Environmentalist Competition is your opportunity to speak up, stand out, and help shape a better future.
This competition is open to young people up to the age of 17 as at 31st August 2025, whether working as an individual or in a team (up to four people). You are invited to develop a solution, campaign, or practical project in response to this year’s theme ‘Happiness in Nature’.
Projects can be approached from different angles and perspectives and entrants are encouraged to be creative and innovative in their interpretation of the theme.
The Rotary Young Environmentalist Competition is part of Rotary’s commitment to supporting the environment — one of Rotary’s seven Areas of Focus.
