Chelwood Bridge Rotary Christmas lunch at Folly Farm.
The occasion which was very well arranged by Jim Farmer began with a poignant grace by Doug Nash followed by a few words from our President, Andrew Martin. With an attendance of over 40 we had an excellent meal enjoyed by all, in a very convivial atmosphere. Our entertainment this year was provided by Spike Parker, showing a series of very amusing videos. Covering such subjects as a demonstration of Morris Dancing by our very own Morris Dancers, bookings by request, how not to rescue and tow a car, the problems of being caught in the gentleman's loo at night time, why it doesn't pay to listen to your husband by Pam Ayres, the reasoning as to why we have built two very large aircraft carriers and finally a rendition of "Bring me Sunshine" by Cilla Black ably assisted by Morecambe and Wise. It was very well received by a captive audience, the doors were locked. We at Chelwood Bridge Rotary wish you all a very happy and safe Christmas
