Rotary Youth Exchange

Rotary Youth Exchange is one of Rotary’s earliest Peace initiatives and is widely regarded as one of the best youth exchange programmes in the world.

YOUTH EXCHANGE

Rotary arranges exchanges and camps for 15/17 year olds, giving the chance to immerse in a foreign culture, learn the language, and meet up with students of your own age. Participants return with an amazing experience to add to their C.V. or University Application.

The main programmes are:

Short Term Exchange
Spend 3 weeks, usually in the summer holidays, staying with an exchange partner in their family home, exploring another culture and another language. You and your family then host your exchange partner for 3 weeks. There are no costs apart from Travel. Insurance and pocket money

Camps and Tours
Every year Rotary Clubs all over the world host Camps and Tours – normally 10-15 days. The participants will be from a wide range of counties, and the activities vary from cultural to sporting to social. If you go to the website youth exchange.org.uk and scroll down to Camps and Tours, you will be able to see the variety offered. The costs are modest – really good value for money.

Rotary has been running these exchanges for over 60 years. Young people and their parents can be assured of a safe environment, and we take seriously the health, safety and welfare of all participants. Each year, over 7000 young people worldwide enjoy the experience of a lifetime though Rotary Youth Exchange.
