Rotary Young Writer Competition

Details on the national Rotary Young Writer competition - in which we as a club have an interest.

Creative writing is a talent to be celebrated and to be able to write is a special gift. In Great Britain and Ireland there are young people who have, or have the ability to develop, this talent and Rotary in these islands wishes to promote writing through the Rotary GB&I Young Writer competition.

Starting with club level competitions, winners progress to district events and, ultimately, a national final with the winning work subsequently published in Rotary magazines and on this website. The quality of work submitted in previous years has been outstanding and we expect no less this year.

The theme this year is 'what a difference that made to my life/their lives. That can be anything the story teller wishes to define.

We, at the Rotary Club of Plympton, are pleased to announce that our club heat winner, Alice Vickery, has won the Senior competition at District level in this competition and now goes on to the national final.

The whole of the Rotary Club of Plympton wish Alice the best of luck.
