Stephen Attenborough,Commercial Director for Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic spoke about the Virgin Galactic project.
Ampthill & District Rotary Club were proud to host an evening with Stephen Attenborough, Commercial Director for Virgin Galactic, on Wednesday 17 September. Stephen was first full time employee of the company in 2004. Although no commercial flights have yet taken place over 700 individuals have already paid deposits of $200,000 each to guarantee them a place in space. And it seems there is no upper age limit. The oldest pre-booked passenger is 90 years old. The company is aiming to ensure that each passenger will experience the thrill of g-force, will have the chance to be weightless and to see back to Earth.
