Biggleswade Rotary

A review of the last year

Biggleswade Rotary Club hold a Swimathon every year in February, which was very successful.  Entrants always enjoy this event and are always enthusiastic, It runs over two days and made just over £5,000.

In April we all met at Jubilee Wood in Biggleswade and planted trees.   We also had our Charter Lunch that month and Alfred Levy was presented with a Paul Harris Fellowship.

In June we decorated a car and joined Biggleswade Carnival, walking through the town collecting money for the Carnival Charities.

In September we hold a Golf Day, this year raising funds for Sue Ryder. The photos are of the winners receiving their prizes and the Golf Day Auction in progress.

The children at St Andrew's Lower School East, in Biggleswade  held a Purple For Polio Day. raising funds for International Polio Day. They contributed their donations for purple crocuses and planted them in 'planters' outside their classroom windows so they can watch them grow.  They raised £70.50.  The children enjoyed planting the crocuses and everyone had a lovely afternoon.
