Young Environmentalist

This contest is looking for young people, who care about the planet. Entrants will have the opportunity to present unique solutions to environmental problems, from waste management to climate change, and change how we look at the environment.

The threats posed to the future of our World have never been greater and everything we do impacts and is impacted by the Environment. Climate Change, and how we tackle it, is headline news every day. It's the single greatest threat to the future of the human race and our planet.

Our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are quite rightly calling for action. If we don't do something now it will be too late.

In establishing Environment as the 7th Area of Focus Rotary International and Rotary GBI have acknowledged that it's time that we, as a worldwide service organisation, take action.

Through the Rotary GBI Young Environmentalist Awards we can engage with and inspire the next generations to take action with us, to the benefit of our communities and the environment as a whole.

Please join like minded Rotarians from across District 1180 and encourage our youngsters to enter this year's Young Environmentalist Competition. The theme is Waste Minimisation and full details can be found in the attached Information Pack. Local heats will be followed by District, Regional and the National finals.

Information on the national competition can be found here.
