Leeds Rotary Rescues “Cash for Kids” Charity

As a long-time supporter of the charity “Cash for kids”, the Rotary Club of Leeds was very worried to find out that due to the current Covid situation they were awfully close to collapse due to lack of funds.

Says President Elect, David Waddington: “As a club we have traditionally donated cash to the charity and toys at Christmas, which have been distributed by Radio Aire.  This year that is not going to be possible.  So, we have immediately sent a donation of £1,600 to help out.  No doubt as we get closer to Christmas our members will once again be collecting toys for Radio “Greatest Hits West Yorkshire” to distribute.”

Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping the children that need it most in Leeds. Their mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the community who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. They believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.  They work with grass-roots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go.
