Purple crocus planting to raise funds and awareness for the End Polio campaign

The 4000 purple crocus bulbs sponsored by TWM and planted last November are sprouting! They were split between 2 sites, St James' Church in Trowbridge and Semington village.

Looking glorious in the sunshine, they remind us of the fight to eradicate polio: when a child receives their life-saving polio drops on mass polio immunisation days, their little finger is painted with a purple dye so it is clear they have received their polio vaccine.
Purple4Polio for End Polio Now is Rotary’s global campaign to eradicate polio across the world.
