Chew Valley Primary Schools, Annual Football Competition


Fourteen girls and boys teams from seven Chew Valley Primary Schools took part in the Annual Football Competition at Chew Valley School on Thursday 7th March. 

The teams were divided into one girls’ league and two boys’ leagues. Every team played matches against all the teams in their league. Each match was played with 7 or 8 players per team. All matches on four pitches were refereed by Year 9 students from Chew Valley School. 
At the end of the morning, Rotarian John Palmer presented the Cups to the winners of each league and Medals to all members of the winning teams.
The winning teams were:-
Division One (Boys):- Bishop Sutton Primary 
Division Two (Boys):- Stanton Drew Primary
Girls Division :- Pensford Primary
The Rotary Club of Chelwood Bridge has sponsored this competition by providing the Cups and Medals for a number of years and is pleased that it is so enthusiastically contested to a high standard by so many schools.
