Wed 4th March 2020 Speaker meeting - Geoff Morris: Prostate Cancer UK

Geoff Morris, a volunteer from the charity Prostate Cancer UK will be visiting. At Christmas, the club raised a considerable amount of money for both Prostate Cancer UK and also the Michael Sobell Hospice.

Sun 1st March 2020 Senior Citizens' Tea Party @ Tudor Club, Eastcote

Every three months, the club helps with the Senior Citizens' Tea Party at the Tudor Club in Eascote, in conjunction with the Ruislip-Northwood Old Folks Association.

Australian Susanne Rea is a distinguished Rotarian who is one of the founders of the highly successful World's Greatest Meal fund-raiser for polio. Susanne is visiting England, and her first port of call is Uxbridge!

On the eve of World Polio Day (October 24th), the club will be hosting a World's Greatest Meal fund-raiser. The bangers & mash meal - with vegetarian option - will raise money for End Polio Now, and the guest speaker will be Mukesh Malhotra.

District Governor, Frank Quinn, who looks after the Thames Valley Rotary District (1090) will be visiting to share his vision of "Rotary Connects the World". It will also be our committees evening - a chance to hatch plans for the future.

Tue 23rd July 2019 Charity Golf Day

This is the Rotary club's big fund-raiser. This year, 20 teams will be lining up at Batchworth Park Golf Club near Rickmansworth, with proceeds doing to the National Autistic Society.

Sun 21st July 2019 Uxbridge Auto Show

This very successful event, which is run by the Rotary Club of Uxbridge to raise money for a number of Rotary charities, is supported by Elthorne-Hillingdon Rotary who provide volunteers for the Middlesex Showground in Park Road.

MapAction is a non-governmental organisation that specialises in providing mapping for humanitarian emergencies. Roy, who is a Past President of Newbury Rotary Club, will be explaining about the work of the charity.
