HAITI Earthquake Disaster ________________________ Funds to go to 'Shelter box' The two Ripon Clubs jointly raised money for the above fund on Saturday 16 January at the supermarkets in Ripon, Sainsbury and Booths. We raised a total of £1760.00 Since Saturday contributions from both Ripon Clubs have increased this figure and we are now able to send monies for 5 Shelter boxes . the cheque going today 20 January 2010 will be £2450 Many thanks to all contributors. A magnificent total bearing in mind the very short notice we had to arrange the manning of the stores Many thanks to all involved.. President Russell. ****** Father Xmas appeal with Ripon Lions We are also pleased to announce that with the Lions Club in Ripon we jointly raised £2540. We are therefore able to donate £1270 to the President's Charity Macmillan Nurses. |
