What is Rotary?
· A worldwide organization of men and women who volunteer their time and talents to serve their communities at home and overseas.
· Rotarians are men and women representing a cross-section of the local community, inclusive of all cultures, races and creeds. Our members typically live and/or work in a wide area around Frampton, Stonehouse, the Stanleys and Stroud’s
Five Valleys.
· Rotary focuses on community projects including fighting illiteracy and drug abuse, helping young, elderly and disadvantaged.
· Rotary supports programmes for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students and teachers.
· Rotary projects address critical worldwide issues - health, literacy and
water. Specific projects aim to eradicate Polio and train students in peace and conflict resolution.
· Rotarians voluntarily undertake projects locally, nationally and internationally using their professional or business skills.
