NCI Torbay lookout at Daddyhole Plain, Torquay, relies upon voluntary contributions to help safeguard the lives of yachtsmen, fishermen, canoeists and other users of coastal waters.


About us

The Rotary Club of Preston (Torbay) was formed in 1969 and is the sister club of the Rotary Club of Paignton. 

Preston is a very active club whose members believe that enjoyment and involvement are key to a good successful club. 

Meetings are on Tuesdays at 19:00 for 19:30 at the Redcliffe Hotel, Marine Drive, Paignton. TQ3 2NL Tel: (01803) 526397.

The club is proactive in serving the local community and raising funds for local national and international charities. The club believes in a hands on approach where possible providing practical help. Known for our friendliness and hospitality a number of social events are arranged throughout the year when partners and friends are invited.

Throughout the year a number of fundraising events are held to support local charities and good causes including Rowcroft Hospice, Torbay Young Carers, Children"™s Hospice South West, Paignton Larder, National Coastwatch Institution and many others. In addition the club raises funds for national and international charities including Water Aid, Combat Stress, Shelterbox and the End Polio Now Campaign. Over the course of an average year the club makes donations to more than twenty charities.

Preston Rotary Club is eager to recruit both men and women who feel that they wish to put something back into the community in which they live. A warm welcome awaits anyone who may be interested in becoming a member to share our commitment and enthusiasm in demonstrating the ideals of Rotary through service and fellowship. Rotary is also a great way of meeting like-minded people and making lasting friendships whilst enjoying yourself and having fun.
